Sport Clubs are organizations that give students the opportunity to play their favorite sport at a competitive level. The main differences between a Division I (NCAA) program and a sport club team is the level of funding, there is no formal recruiting and we do not have full time coaches. As a sport club, the team receives a limited annual budget from student fee allocations and generates most of their operating budget from dues and fund raising activities. Participating on a sport club team is a good way to keep that competitive edge and have fun at the same time.

Logging sports is a sport that incorporates traditional logging activates in a competitive manor. The team competes in events such as pole climbing, crosscut sawing, axe throwing, chainsaws events, chopping and water sports such as log rolling.

Competitions are mainly in the Pacific North West (including Montana, Idaho). Other schools we compete against are Oregon State, Montana State, University of Montana, Humboldt State, Washington State, University of Washington, Humboldt State, Cal Poly, Spokane Community College, and Flat Head Community College.

Competitions are mainly held in the spring, but practice is throughout the entire year. We have held practice from 4:30 until dark on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday for the last two years, but it varies from year to year. Dues are $30 per semester.
