This course will teach the basics of backcountry travel and other important things to know.  Included is the basics of how to telemark ski.  We will travel up to Cameron Pass for an all day lesson on telemark skiing and how to apply it to snow conditions in the backcountry. 

Important note: this is not a “learn to ski” class, participants must be competent basic skiers or better. The class consists of one “dryland” evening session. The evening session will cover equipment fitting, clothing, technique, and safety considerations. OAP will provide students with Telemark ski equipment and climbing skins, available on a first-come basis.
