Spring Break Ski Hut Trip

*REGISTRATION OPENS JANUARY 2, 2010*

Don’t let winter escape without one more session on backcountry skis. Our three-day trip begins on Sunday, March 15and returns to Fort Collins on Tuesday, March 17. The group will stay in the fashionable “Nokhu Huts” in the Colorado State Forest, deep in the snowy mountains around Cameron Pass. After skiing in for two miles we’ll set up base camp in the Nokhu Hut, a nicely finished cabin with wood heat, propane cooking facilities, and a view that can’t be beat. The days will be spent exploring the rugged and steep backcountry skiing opportunities around the hut. Our instructors are trained in avalanche awareness, first aid, and will introduce you to the winter world at and above timberline. Course fee includes use of Telemark ski equipment, avalanche beacon, all meals, transportation and hut fees. Enrollment is limited due to the small size of the hut, so plan early.
